We all know how the story goes So we don’t even see it When it happens, it’s so peculiar Just can’t believe it You knew that the day would come And you never stopped running There was always tomorrow But now, nobody’s coming It’s a Dangerous Comfort

It’s a ratchet, it’s a racket Entirely manufactured It’s a sellout, there’s no way out But look who gets a bailout Hit restart, play it smart, And it all just falls apart There’s no time, it’s a crime But we’re supposed to fall in line All your cheatin is in season But none dare call it treason Eatin dirt, and it hurts Weren’t supposed to make it worse Feel the strain, don’t complain Close your eyes to stop the pain Sustain the inhumane Cuz you think it entertains Old man, tell me what’re you thinkin “There’s nothing for it but to keep on drinkin” Worst case, bald face Displace, outpace Misplaced interface Embrace, rat race Neck brace, saving grace Erased, defaced The amount doesn’t count Old man, tell me what’re you thinkin “There’s nothing for it but to keep on drinkin”

All my troubles have been waiting here for me Thoughts unspoken, becomes reality Unforgiven for proofs that I have found Oceans wash over, covered without a sound Nothing, Nothing to me, Nothing To me nothing, To me nothing, To me Unforgiven for proofs that I have found Oceans wash over, covered without a sound

Cracks across the sky Painting tainted angels as they stumble back across the horizon Sharkey’s had his day And new gods demand their tribute Some call it Tuesday Others call it the birth of a new universe Scattering their constructed morality Like mouldering confetti across an unused catwalk It’s never been a question of responsibility Leave the husks where they fall

about

Produced and Recorded by Lex Marburger for Earfatigue Productions.

Inspired by the RPM challenge to write and record ten new songs in February. Much like the National Novel Writing Month challenge in November (NaNoWriMo), The goal is to complete them, not to make them as perfect as possible. Creativity is the goal.

As you can guess, the album title is inspired by me being in lockdown for about a year.

The conceit here from me is that it's a compilation album - because there's little coherence here, except for a few things:

1. I wrote and performed it all;
2. My... I guess you'd call it "singular" guitar playing style, especially when soloing;
3. Apparently, I have a thing for minor keys and atonality.

I included 11 songs, due to one cover, just in case.
